Pattaya City is organizing the "Film, Create Jobs" event to contribute to Pattaya's goal of becoming a UNESCO City of Film.

Pattaya City, through its Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Development (DAST) Pattaya Office, organized the 2024 Awareness-Building Project for Community Participation and Good Hosting. The project aims to raise public awareness and understanding of policies, and to integrate all sectors in driving Pattaya's bid to become a UNESCO Creative City of Film. Today's activities included booths selling vintage goods, demonstrations of leaf-patterned fabric printing, balm making, and basic coffee brewing.

👤Pattaya Mayor, Mr. Parames Wernery, discussed the policies, approaches, and goals for Pattaya to become a creative city in film through creative tourism and to drive the city towards joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of film. This includes building soft power through entertainment media, and pushing Pattaya to become a global hub for the film industry, thereby creating jobs, generating income, and enhancing its potential as a tourist destination.
