Pattaya City participates in the "Creative City of Gastronomy: Creative Design, Economy and Sustainability" event. (Issue 291/66, dated December 12, 2023)

On December 6-7, 2023, Pattaya City, represented by Mr. Siwat Boonkird, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City (representing the Mayor), participated in the “Creative City of Gastronomy: Creative Design, Economy and Sustainability” event at Phetchaburi Rajabhat University and community learning centers in Phetchaburi Province. Mr. Natthachai Nampoolsuksanti, Governor of Phetchaburi Province, presided over the opening ceremony. Representatives from creative cities networks in Thailand and abroad, along with representatives from government agencies, the private sector, students, and other stakeholders, attended the event.

The event included a knowledge exchange seminar on creative city management titled "Gastronomy: Creative, Design and Innovation," featuring representatives from the Creative Cities of Gastronomy: Usuki (Japan), Battambang (Cambodia), Iloilo (Philippines), and Phetchaburi (Thailand). There was also a presentation on "The Presentation of Business Model: Taste of Sweet, Salty and Sour" by award-winning entrepreneurs from the 3-Taste Business Competition, a field trip and learning activity focusing on "Sweet and Sour" at Tham Rong community, and a visit to the "Salt Route" tourist route at Ban Laem salt warehouse. Finally, participants shared their experiences and learned from the creative city network under the theme "Share and Learn in Taste of Sweet, Salty and Sour." The aim was to strengthen cooperation with creative cities both domestically and internationally and to adapt these approaches to suit Pattaya City.
