From October 5-8, 2023, Pattaya City, represented by Mr. Siwat Boonkird, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, and Ms. Chalida Uabamrungjit, Director of the Thai Film Archive (Public Organization), participated in the YAMAGATA International Documentary Film Festival 2023 at the invitation of the Mayor of Yamagata City, Japan. During this visit, they met with Mr. Takahiro Sato, Mayor of Yamagata City, and his delegation to discuss Yamagata City's progress towards becoming a UNESCO Creative City of Film. They also visited the film festival and other related sites, which will be beneficial in further developing Pattaya City's aspirations to become a UNESCO Creative City of Film.
