The Designated Area Office 3 (DPT 3) held a meeting with the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Office (EEC) to discuss integrating cooperation in developing Pattaya into a world-class film industry hub. Attendees included Mr. Sutharak Sunthornvipat, Manager of DPT 3; Dr. Thatchapol Kanjanagool, Investment Expert from EEC; Mr. Kittipong Boonying, Director of the Area and Community Business Division; and EEC staff, along with Mr. Kris Phumisuvarn, Deputy Manager of DPT 3, and DPT 3 staff.

During the meeting, the Designated Areas for Sustainable Development (DAST) Region 3 introduced the role and operations of DAST and presented strategies for driving and upgrading Pattaya's development towards membership in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for Film (UCCN). On this occasion, Dr. Thatchapol Kanjanagool, an investment expert from the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EEC), introduced the EEC's role and commented that promoting investment in the film industry in Pattaya presents a good opportunity to define the direction for area development towards its goals. Therefore, to ensure clearer and more concrete direction, a collaborative approach was proposed between the EEC, DAST, and Pattaya City through the establishment of a working group. A memorandum of understanding was signed between DAST, the EEC, and relevant agencies. DAST Region 3 will implement the outcomes of this meeting and coordinate with relevant agencies accordingly.
