On January 13, 2024, Mr. Parames Ngampicheth, Mayor of Pattaya City, presided over and read the message for the National Day activities. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor, the Mayor's Secretary, the Assistant Mayor's Secretary, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Pattaya City Council, members of the City Council, school committee members, and other distinguished guests, at Pattaya City Hall.
The second Saturday of January each year is designated as "National Children's Day".“ To promote awareness of the importance of children, who will grow up to be the future of the nation, Children's Day is celebrated. This event aims to encourage children to recognize their role, participate in society, and fully embrace their childhood, preparing them to become responsible and well-rounded adults. This year's Children's Day falls on Saturday, January 13, 2024, and the slogan is "Broaden your perspective, think creatively, respect differences, and together build democracy." Pattaya City, along with government and private sector organizations, are supporting the activities of this event.
The atmosphere at Pattaya City Hall for National Children's Day was lively from early morning, with many children and their parents arriving. The event featured numerous activities, including a show of lifelike, moving dinosaurs of four species: Phuwiangosaurus (12 meters long, a species discovered in Khon Kaen province, Thailand), Camarasaurus (10 meters long), T-Rex, and Chungingosaurus. A troop of superheroes also joined in to add to the fun.
The mayor participated in presenting awards to young people who demonstrated good environmental awareness in the "Children's Day Without Waste" activity. He also opened his office to the children, allowing them to tour the office and engaging in friendly conversation with them.
